My name is Ulyssa Hernandez I am 14 and I was 13 when I first came to Rose. At first when I came there I was very intimidated by everyone because, of how well they all played and thought that I would never get to their level. My first practice was rough but my mother said give it 5 months. So I did, but I started to look forward to going every time I did go. Rose taught me how to play more properly she taught me foot skills, she help condition me and she also taught me how to properly strike through a ball. She doesn’t just teach you things in the field she teaches you, confidence, responsibility, resilience, discipline, being honest with yourself and consistency. I also go to her track practices and private lessons with her. During the private lessons she had me work on shooting, volleys and heading the ball. Playing on her Azteca team has taught me a lot, playing with boys gives you a challenge. A challenge to beat that person to the ball or to get that ball back. Coach Rose also gives out academic awards to kids every semester and she also makes sure we’ll all have our goal sheets all filled out. I’ve met a lot of soccer coaches but none have really stuck but Rose. She is the best coach I’ve ever had, she motivates everyone to reach our fullest potential. Without her I would not be the player I am today, I would still probably kicking the ball wrong and not know anything that she has taught me.
Thank you, Coach Rose for teaching what I know now I am very grateful that I have you as a coach thank you for your support and guidance.
